Child-Friendly Environment
Safe CDC is designed to be a welcoming and child-friendly setting, with a range of toys and activities available to suit various stages of child development.
We also have a separate waiting room where children and young people (CYP) can relax. If you feel your child cannot be left unsupervised, we recommend that two adults attend the appointment—so one can supervise the child while the other participates in the consultation.
Fees & Services
At Safe CDC, we are committed to transparent fees and high-quality, personalised care. All assessments are conducted in line with NICE guidelines and tailored to each child’s individual needs. Below is a guide to our most commonly requested services.
Getting Started at Safe CDC (Ages 0 - 17 years)
If you have concerns about your CYP's health and development at any age, we recommend beginning with a Paediatric Neurodevelopment (PND) Consultation. This is conducted by our Consultant Community Paediatrician, who specialises in neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The PND Consultation at Safe CDC consists of three core components:
1.A comprehensive developmental and health history shared by parents or carers
2.Input from your child’s educational setting, where they spend a significant part of their day
3.A health and neurodevelopmental assessment carried out by the paediatrician during the consultation
This appointment provides a holistic overview of your child’s development and wellbeing. It offers personalised advice and guidance, and in some cases, this may be sufficient without the need for further assessments. If diagnostic assessments are needed, the PND forms the clinical foundation.
PND Consultation Fee: £376
Please let us know if you have any questions, or if you would like to proceed so we can send you the registration forms and arrange an appointment at Safe CDC, contact us at gethelp@safecdc.com.
Further ADHD Assessment & Management (Ages 6–17 years)
If ADHD is suspected following the PND Consultation, we proceed in accordance with NICE guidelines. The assessment includes:
•Standardised ADHD questionnaires (Conners 4) completed by parents/carers and the school
•An objective Assessment using The Test of Everyday Attention for Children (TEA-Ch)
•A structured diagnostic evaluation based on DSM-5 criteria
ADHD Assessment Fee: £564
At Safe CDC, we provide guidance tailored to the needs of each child or young person. Our clinician, a qualified paediatrician, is approved as a private prescriber for controlled medications used in ADHD management. For expert support and a tailored ADHD management plan, contact us at gethelp@safecdc.com.
Further ASD Assessment & Management (Ages 3–17 years)
If an ASD assessment is indicated, we carry out a Multidisciplinary Diagnostic Assessment (MDA) in line with NICE guidelines. This is led by a Consultant Community Paediatrician in collaboration with either an Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist.
The MDA typically includes:
•An observational visit to your child’s educational setting
•Multi-source information gathering, including parental and school input
•A Clinical Autism Assessment using the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition)
ASD Multidisciplinary Assessment Fee: £1,302
